ASPA in brief
Next-generation risk assessment (NGRA) of chemicals relies on new approach methodologies (NAMs). To operationalize this concept, a detailed and transparent workflow is required. ASPA is the interactive NGRA workflow that guides users through all steps and decisions of the risk assessment process. It provides modules for toxicokinetic modelling, hazard identification, hazard characterization, exposure assessment and risk evaluation. Modules can be tailored to specific problem formulations, warranting flexibility across the various regulatory contexts. Consistency, transparency, traceability and robustness are all key elements of ASPA to ensure that the same data always lead to reproducible conclusions.
